#29: Jobs in Wisconsin

Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Jobs… I am in Appleton, WI… 3rd safest city in America and also the paper mill capital of the world…. A lot of well paying manufacturing jobs are available here, plus the cost of living here is probably lower than Clarksville.. winter is a little rougher than TN, but summer is way better.  If people are interested have them check the Kimberly-Clark, Menasha, Pierce Trucking, Oshkosh Corporation, Sara Lee, and temp services in the Fox Cities area of WI. Many of the corporations here hire thru temp services, but it appears like there is always vacancies to be filled, especially people with prior experience.

Yep. This area is the paper mill capital of the world. There’s also Mercury Marine in Fond du lac which is a leader in marine engines. I’m pretty sure we have a low employment rate. And pretty much all manufacturing/factory jobs hire through temp agencies.

I love living here. Its safe, friendly, and has good schools. There’s a ton of 2 year and 4 year universities within an hour of here. Madison and Milwaukee are within 2 hours....plus Wisconsin Dells, the waterpark capital of the world :) WI is a pretty good state, and I really like my podunk city of Appleton.

Hope this helps… God Bless

#14: ExxonMobil

Saturday, August 7, 2010

Possible $33 job lead - if willing to move to Colorado, which I've been told is BEAUTIFUL!

Local Paper from my source: www.thecraigdailypress.com

The hospital advertises on their own website: www.thememorialhospital.com

Grand Junction is two hours away and is more of a metropolitan area (about 100K people or so). Their website is: www.gjsentinel.com

Surrounding areas include Meeker, Steamboat Springs, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, and more...

A lot of people make at least a minimum 45 minute commute; but the pay is REALLY good so it's worth it. If you can get on with ExxonMobil in the Peance Creek basin, they're starting people out about $33/hr.

#7: Theissen Krump

There is also a large steel mill being built in Mobile and they have been doing mass hiring for about a year. Theissen Krump is the name of this one. These jobs are probably not listed on any national sites, but a day of making some calls could be productive. Also, keep in mind, they pay scale for jobs in this area is probably much lower than the one's in your area, but the cost of living is also lower here
